Lagan's founder (in October 2013) and Principal Partner. An ex-patriate of the Emerald Isle - hailing from Castlewellan, Co. Down - but resident in Coventry since 1977, Dr McKee obtained his Doctorate in Contemporary History from London Guildhall/Metropolitan University in June 1996 for a thesis on post-war British Social Democracy. His interests include British and Irish Contemporary History, Church-State relations in UK/Ireland, Gaelic cultural politics, and Philippines political and Church affairs.  Dr McKee is a well-published scholar, with many papers, articles and three books to his name, the latest of which, 'Gaelic Neighbours', is a treatise on the history and comparative political conditions of the Gaelic language and culture in Scotland and Northern Ireland – and is due publication in May/June 2022 at Edinburgh & Newry, Northern Ireland. His previous book, 'Forty Shades of Blue', focused on the state of the post-1945 British Conservative Party from Winston Churchill to David Cameron, and was launched at Westminster Cathedral in December 2017. He is currently working on a biography of the late Catholic Primate of Armagh and all-Ireland, Cardinal Tomas O'Fiaich.
